Conversion Chart - kHz to Metres

 

The conversion between wave length (in metres) and frequency (in kilohertz) can be made directly, by using the following formula:

 = frequency
 

Don't forget that wavelengths are expressed in metres (m) and the frequencies expressed usually in kilohertz (kHz). If you need to express the frequency in megahertz (MHz) instead of kHz, the conversion is simple: 1 MHz = 1,000 kHz.

 

The formula above gives an exact result, however it is not usually applied. The conversion between wave lenght and frequency can be directly made through the tables indicated below, that includes all the bands currently allocated for shortwave broadcasting.
